Osei Kyei Mensah is ousted as majority leader in parliament following changes made by the NPP

Ghanaian urban planner who doubles as a politician, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has been removed as the majority leader in the parliament of Ghana.

This comes after the New Patriotic Party made new changes in parliament for reasons best known to them.

In the new changes, the long serving majority leader and Member of Parliament for Suame among others were affected, whilst Frank Annoh Dompreh, Alexander Afenyo Markin among other politicians were promoted.

Per report, Member of the Parliament of Ghana for the Effutu constituency in the Central Region, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin is the current majority leader in parliament, replacing the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs in Ghana, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu.

Ghanaian consultant who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh is now the Deputy Majority Leader in parliament of Ghana.

The member of parliament elect for the Tolon Constituency in the Northern Region of Ghana, Habib Iddrisu  is now the Chief Whip in the parliament of Ghana.

One-time Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister and the first female Mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Patricia Appiagyei and the deputy minister for Western North and member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Sefwi-Akontombra Constituency in the Western North Region on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party, Alex Tetteh Djornobuah are now the 1st and 2nd Chief Whips respectively.
