The long beef between entertainment critic who doubles as a panelist, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, and dancehall enigma, Shatta Wale has ignited as the duo has been firing shots at each other via their social media handles.
This comes after the entertainment critic added his voice to the disqualification of the Guinness World Record sing-a-thon attemptee, Afua Asantewaa.
Arnold, who was speaking as an entertainment pundit on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review program slapped sense into Afua Asantewaa for hiding her result when the GWR reached out to her.
Arnold claims even though most of the businesses that chose to work with the Guinness World Record sing-a-thon attemptee gave her the opportunity because they saw her as a potential winner and being disqualified could have led Afua to lose many deals, she still should not have hidden the result when GWR reached out to her.
According to the entertainment critic, Afua’s decision to hide the result will only mar her reputation and make her lose a lot of business deals.
Arnold believes that the businesses Afua is currently connected to would only see her as a dishonest person, and no business would like to associate themselves with a dishonest person.
“It would have been best to just come out and speak the truth because no brand would want to work with a dishonest person. Thus, it is untrue to say that she got the news while getting ready to host a show,” Arnold said.
He went on to say “The narratives keep deepening that you are dishonest and that you didn’t tell the truth. This will significantly damage your brand. If not, let’s see whether her management can control that narrative”.
Reacting to the news, dancehall musician, Shatta Wale labeled Arnold a fool who always sits on the radio and television to act as though he is the monopoly of knowledge.
Shatta Wale stated that Arnold is trying to mar the reputation of the internet sensation so that if possible, she would go hungry.
Well, Arnold has seen Shatta Wale’s message and has fired back at him, calling Shatta Wale a fool.
According to Arnold, Shatta Wale always wants to thrive on negativity to trend.
Arnold has said that he has on several occasions written positive stories about the dancehall musician but it looks like he did not see, however, anytime he writes something negative, the dancehall musician is able to see it and reply.
