Drogba of YOLO fame is’seriously’ unwell and publicly pleads for financial help

Actor John Bredu Peasah, who is affectionately referred to by his fans as Drogba has regrettably been diagnosed with demyelinating disease.

Actor and skit creator Jefferey Nortey revealed this disturbing information and underlined the critical necessity for funding to enable Drogba’s necessary therapy. Jeff shared a flyer with the following wording on it:

“John Bredu Peasah (Drogba) of Yolo series has been diagnosed with a Demyelinating Disease and undergoing treatment for the past Two and Half years.

He is in need of financial support to aid in his treatment. Kindly donate to support his treatment. Thank you.”

According to Mayo Clinic, a demyelinating disease is any condition that causes damage to the protective covering (myelin sheath) that surrounds nerve fibers in your brain, the nerves leading to the eyes (optic nerves) and spinal cord. When the myelin sheath is damaged, nerve impulses slow or even stop, causing neurological problems.

Based on information from a health website, demyelinating diseases do not have a cure, however, disease-modifying therapies have the potential to change the course of the disease in certain patients.

These therapies can be combined with symptomatic treatment. The symptoms and advancement of demyelinating diseases differ among individuals. It is crucial to have an early diagnosis and engage in conversations about treatment possibilities.
