Mr Paul Kamani Kumalbeo, Chief Executive Officer of Bebelino Garments, publicly known by name BEBELINO, the winner of TV3 Perfect Match Xtra reality show is set to launch a Bebelino Garments Foundation to support the physically impaired and the destitute in Ghanaand beyond.
The Bebelino Garments Foundation is established as part of the vision of the BEBELINO GARMENTS to give back to the society as corporate social responsibility.
Its focus is to create an equitable environment in which all physically impaired people feel a sense of belonging in society, in order to achieve Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2, 5, 8, 10, and 17, which aim to address no poverty, zero hunger, gender equality, decent work, economic growth, reduce inequalities, and promote partnership, respectively.
In an interview with the Shobiz TV, Mr Paul Kamani Kumalbeo, Chief Executive Officer of Bebelino Garments and Founder of the Bebelino Garments Foundation said it had been his vision to give back to society as there were blessings in benevolentthan receiving.
The Bebelino Garments Foundation would also demonstrate how appreciativeand thankful to God. He expressed gratitude to TV3 for the platform given him, thanks his manager, and appreciate the LINO EMPIRE fans for the continuous dedication and support.
He discovered that unemployment among the physical impaired is a critical and complex issue that affects millions of young people globally, especially Ghana. He stated that he frequently sees persons with disabilities beg for money on the street in order to feed themselves.
This leads to a lack of independence and a sense of hopelessness about overall destiny of the future. However, he believes that every person with a disability deserves to have a sense of belonging in the society.
As he quotes “We cannot always build the future for the physical impaired, but we can build more inclusiveness of the physical impaired for the future.” So Mr. Paul Kamani founded the Bebelino Garments Foundation (BGF) towards creating environments where every person with a disability feels seen, heard, and respected by society.
He revealed that the Bebelino Garments Foundation (BGF), as a registered non-profit organization, provides vocational skills training in a variety of fields of interest to people with disabilities and job placement to empower disabled persons. Overall, BGF
vocational skills training and job placement have the potential to significantly reduce unemployment among people with disabilities by making them feel seen, heard, and valued in society, ensuring a sense of belonging and providing hope for the future.
He revealed that the Bebelino Garments Foundation which will be launched on Saturday,June 08,2024, would makedonationsat Mampong School for the deaf in their first time SRC eventwithin the Eastern Region of Ghana and would extend to other Regions in the years ahead, as part of activities to make persons with disabilities smiles.
