The Ghanaian gospel music fraternity came together in a heartfelt tribute to honor the life and legacy of the late Rev. George Owusu Mensah.

The celebrated songwriter and composer, known for his timeless hit Matwen Awurade Anim, passed away on November 10, 2024.

A Worship and Tribute Night was held in his memory, where his son, Kofi Owusu Peprah, moved the audience with an emotional rendition of one of his father’s iconic songs.

A preceding burial ceremony took place on Saturday, February 8, at Grace Baptist Church in Kumasi.

It was a solemn occasion as family, friends, and loved ones gathered to bid farewell to a man who profoundly impacted gospel music and ministry in Ghana.

The event was attended by renowned gospel artistes, including Joe Mettle, Ohemaa Mercy, Jack Alolome, Piesie Esther, Empress Gifty, and Daughters of Glorious Jesus.
