The first-ever performance by Ghana and Africa’s legendary music icon, Kojo Antwi, in Australia has officially sold out — four days ahead of the much-anticipated event in Sydney.
The sold-out concert is set to take place at 610-618 Elizabeth Drive, Bonnyrigg Heights NSW 2177, Sydney, on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Fans from all five Australian states — including Ghanaians, other Africans in the diaspora, and Australians — are expected to converge at the Bonnyrigg Sports Club for an unforgettable night.
The Maestro will treat the audience to many of his timeless classics, promising to give his all during the performance.
Joining him on stage will be Anthem, an Australia-based Ghanaian musician, who is expected to lend local flavor and support to the show.
The event promises to be a night of nostalgia, as the African legend delivers a marathon of his signature love songs to fans of Ghanaian descent, Africans, Australians, and music lovers from around the globe.
Kojo Antwi, whose musical journey has enchanted audiences across the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and beyond, will be stepping onto Australian soil for the first time in what is expected to be a historic and heartwarming performance.
Ahead of the concert, Kojo Antwi paid a courtesy call on the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana, Her Excellency Berenice Owen-Jones, to inform her of the tour.
The meeting symbolised a growing cultural connection between Ghana and Australia, underscoring music’s enduring role as a bridge between people and places.
“Music and the arts have long been a bridge between cultures, and Kojo Antwi’s visit highlights the deepening cultural exchange between Ghana and Australia,” a statement from the High Commissioner’s office noted.
High Commissioner Owen-Jones wished Kojo Antwi a successful tour and lauded him for bringing Ghana’s vibrant sounds to a global audience.
