According to a report by GhanaWeb on Thursday, 8th May, 2025, the Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Mr. Kwesi Pratt Jnr, has sent some messages to President John Dramani about an alleged third term ambition.
Mr. Pratt made this statement during an interview on Peace FM’s morning show Kokrokoo. His comments come after the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong, claimed that President John Dramani Mahama was planning to change the constitution to allow himself to run for a third term.
However, Mr. Pratt dismissed the claim. He said there is no sign that Mahama is making such plans. He also reminded the public that previous presidents like Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the late Professor John Evans Atta Mills also set up committees to review the constitution, but that did not mean they wanted a third term.
He advised politicians to stop spreading fear and instead focus on real issues affecting the country.
