According to a report by the minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on Thursday, 8th May, 2025, the government of Ghana has successfully secured UK visas for Suzy Adwoa Pinamang and her two caregivers to travel for urgent medical treatment.
Suzy is the senior high school girl who was accidentally shot in the eye by a classmate at Adventist SHS in Bantama, Kumasi.

Mr. Ablakwa also gave special recognition to the Member of Parliament for Bantama, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, for informing him about Suzy’s condition and asking for his help as Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister.
He expressed deep gratitude to businessman and philanthropist Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for generously offering to pay for the full cost of Suzy’s medical treatment in the UK. His support has given Suzy and her family great hope.
