A popular journalist at TV XYZ, Mugabe Maase, has made a serious claim about renowned broadcaster Kwame Sefa Kayi. According to Mugabe, the host of the Kokrokoo Morning Show on Peace FM will no longer return to the station.
He explained that this decision is being pushed by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the management of Peace FM’s parent company, Despite Media.
Mugabe Maase revealed during his show on Friday, 9th May, 2025, that the NDC and those in charge at the media house are working together to make sure that no journalist who speaks badly about the NDC government will be given a platform. He made it clear that they will not allow anyone to criticize the current administration on air.

His comments support an earlier statement made by NPP member PK Sarpong. Mr. Sarpong had said that Fadda Dickson, who is a top manager at Despite Media, is working closely with the NDC to prevent Sefa Kayi from returning to host the popular Kokrokoo show. Many people did not believe him at first, but after hearing Mugabe Maase’s recent comments, Mr. Sarpong said he feels his claims have been proven right.
In his words, PK Sarpong stated, “Many people doubted me when I said Fadda Dickson and the NDC were behind Kwame Sefa Kayi’s absence from Kokrokoo. But after listening to Mugabe Maase, it’s now clear that they don’t want him back. I was right to suggest that Kwame should leave Despite Media.”
