Popular Ghanaian prophet, Nigel Gaisie, has shared his opinion on the recent controversy involving Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board.
In a Facebook post on Monday, May 12, 2025, the leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel came to the defense of Sammy Gyamfi and criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for what he sees as a lack of support for their own members.
The issue began after a video went viral showing Sammy Gyamfi giving cash, reportedly in US dollars to Evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng, also known as Nana Agradaa. The video sparked public criticism and led to calls for his dismissal, while some others say he was only being kind in a private matter.
In his post, Prophet Nigel Gaisie compared the NDC to their main political opponents, the New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to him, the NPP always protects its members, no matter the situation, while the NDC quickly turns against theirs. He said the NDC fights its own members as though they never struggled together to win political power.
Quoting the Bible, Nigel Gaisie said, “Let he that has not sinned before cast the first stone.” He asked NDC members to remember Sammy Gyamfi’s hard work over the past nine years. He revealed that Sammy Gyamfi sometimes worked late into the night, even risking his life, to help bring the NDC back to power.
He expressed disappointment in how some members of the NDC are treating Gyamfi, describing it as “internal hatred.” He warned that if the party doesn’t learn to protect its own, it may continue to face divisions and setbacks.
He ended his message by calling for love and unity, saying, “Let love lead. Sammy Gyamfi is more than one thousand men. Protect your own.”.
