The founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, has called on former President John Dramani Mahama to forgive Sammy Gyamfi over the recent issue involving his donations to party members.
Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, 13th May, 1025, Rev. Owusu Bempah said Sammy Gyamfi is a good young man who means well for others and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party. According to him, people should not judge Sammy harshly, especially when his actions were meant to help others.
“Sammy Gyamfi is a very kind man and his kindness is attracting a lot of people to the NDC. So, I plead with supporters of the party to forgive him. Let’s not forget the good he has done for a lot of people,” Rev Owusu Bempah pleaded
The pastor’s comments come after a video of Sammy Gyamfi donating motorbikes and a car to some NDC members went viral. Many people have since criticized him, claiming he is trying to gain personal favor or influence in the party. Some also believe he acted without informing the right authorities.
But Rev. Owusu Bempah believes Sammy should not be punished for trying to help. He urged President Mahama to show leadership and compassion by forgiving the young politician and allowing the matter to rest.
Interestingly, some people who are not supporters of the NDC have also defended Sammy Gyamfi. One netizen commented, “I don’t like NDC, but this one did not do anything wrong.”
The NDC is yet to release an official statement, but calls are growing for unity in the party and forgiveness for Sammy Gyamfi.
