Popular Ghanaian evangelist, Nana Agradaa, has finally spoken after President John Mahama decided to forgive Sammy Gyamfi for his recent actions. Agradaa, who was at the center of the dollar gift saga, expressed her joy and praised God for answering her prayers.
In a new video shared on social media on Thursday, 15th May, 2025, Nana Agradaa was seen celebrating and thanking God after hearing the news that Sammy Gyamfi would not be sacked from his position as Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board. She poured white powder all over herself, a sign of joy and thanksgiving in Ghanaian culture.
Agradaa said she had been praying for God to touch the President’s heart so that he would show mercy to Sammy Gyamfi. She said she did not want him to lose his job because of what he did for her. According to her, the money was a gift of appreciation and not meant to break any rules.
She also used the opportunity to thank President Mahama for showing compassion. “God bless President Mahama. May God continue to guide him and make him greater. He has done what a father should do,” Agradaa said in her message.
Agradaa praised Mahama for being a good leader who listens to the people and forgives when necessary. She explained that the dollar gift was not meant to cause trouble and that Sammy Gyamfi had only acted out of love and respect.
Earlier this week, President Mahama, through his spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed that Sammy Gyamfi had apologized for his actions and had been cautioned. The President decided not to take any further action, saying Gyamfi had shown enough remorse.
Nana Agradaa’s joyful reaction has added another twist to the story, showing how deeply involved she was and how grateful she is that things ended peacefully.
