Alhaji Osman Masawudu, the Third National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is asking President John Dramani Mahama to be honest with Ghanaians about the health of Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
According to him, the Vice President has not been seen in public for a long time, and many Ghanaians are beginning to worry about her health and where she might be. He believes the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which is currently in government, must explain what is going on.
Speaking during an interview on Accra-based Original TV with Kwaku Owusu Adjei (Pato), Alhaji Masawudu said, “Ghanaians have the right to know how the Vice President is doing, how much money is being spent on her medical care, and where she is now. There has been no official information about her condition. People need to know if she is alive or not.”
He also accused President Mahama of hiding important information from the public. He said it is wrong for a leader to keep such things secret, especially
His statement comes at a time when many people are talking about Professor Opoku-Agyemang’s absence and the silence from the NDC. Her long sick leave has led to speculation, and some are worried that something serious might have happened to her.
Alhaji Masawudu said leaders should always be open and honest with the people they serve. He called on the government to stop hiding and come out with the truth.
This story continues to gain attention, as citizens and political observers wait for an official update on the Vice President’s condition.
