Kevin Taylor, the outspoken host of the With All Due Respect show on Loud Silence TV, has taken to his Facebook page on Monday, 19th May, 2025, to call for the re-arrest of former sanitation minister Cecilia Dapaah.
In his post, he urged President John Dramani Mahama to ensure that those who misused public funds face justice.
“The reset is happening,” he wrote, referring to the new government’s effort to clean up corruption. “But while at it, we should not forget that the money meant for desilting Accra drains ended up in the house of Cecilia Dapaah.”
Cecilia Dapaah made headlines in 2023 after large amounts of money were reportedly stolen from her home by two domestic workers. The reported amount included $1 million, €300,000, and millions of Ghana cedis, which raised questions about how a public official could keep such funds at home. This discovery shocked many Ghanaians, especially when the Office of the Special Prosecutor later found even more cash and millions in her bank accounts.
Kevin Taylor believes that the current flooding issues in Accra are proof that Cecilia Dapaah failed to carry out her duties as Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources. He said the recent flood videos show that “not a single gutter was desilted by Cecilia Dapaah,” and insisted she must be held accountable.
He praised President Mahama’s recent call for all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to prioritize sanitation. However, he added that for true change to happen, past mistakes must be corrected.
“The government must go after Cecilia Dapaah for a proper account of how much she used,” Kevin Taylor stressed. “She must answer questions!”
His post has sparked fresh calls for investigations into how public funds were handled under the former administration.
