The Head of Public Relations at the Ghana Education Service (GES), Madam Cassandra Twum Ampofo, has been transferred to the Eastern Regional Education Directorate. She made this known through a post on her Facebook page on Tuesday, 20th May 2025.
In her post, Madam Twum Ampofo shared how Mondays at the GES Headquarters often come with surprise transfer letters. She revealed that Monday, 19th May, was no different. According to her, she became suspicious when the Secretary of the Director-General visited her office — something that had never happened before. When she asked if it was her turn to be transferred, the secretary only smiled. That was when she knew her time had come. Upon receiving the letter, she realized she had officially been moved to the Eastern Region.
Madam Cassandra Twum Ampofo expressed pride in the work she has done at the GES Headquarters, especially as the Head of Public Relations. She said her time at the headquarters was filled with important achievements and progress. She added that she was glad to have contributed positively to the image and communication of the Ghana Education Service.
She also thanked all the people she worked with at the headquarters for their support. Though leaving Accra and the headquarters is emotional for her, she is happy and hopeful about the next chapter of her career. She believes her work in the Eastern Region will also bring great results and allow her to continue serving the nation through education.
Madam Twum Ampofo’s transfer comes at a time when many public service workers are being moved to different regions. Her story has attracted attention from colleagues and followers who have praised her professionalism and dedication.
