Ghanaian politician and former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan Kyerematen, is celebrating a remarkable milestone in his family. His mother, Madam Victoria Kyerematen, has turned 105 years old, and her son could not hide his joy as he marked the occasion with a touching message on social media.
Sharing the good news on his official X page Thursday, 22nd May, 2025, Mr. Kyerematen wrote: “105 and still going strong! Your life is a testament to the power of love, resilience, and dedication. Here’s to many more years of wisdom, laughter, and adventure! Happy Birthday, Mama.”
Madam Victoria Kyerematen first made headlines two years ago when she celebrated her 103rd birthday in 2023. At the time, Mr. Kyerematen described her life as “truly remarkable” and thanked God for keeping her strong and healthy.

Alan Kyerematen, now 69 years old, is a well-known figure in Ghana’s political and public service space. He served as Minister of Trade and Industry under President John Agyekum Kufuor from 2003 to 2009 and held the same position again under President Akufo-Addo. He was also Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States in 2001 and later worked with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Ethiopia.
