Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa or Evangelist Mama Pat, has broken her silence after gospel singer Empress Gifty filed a defamation lawsuit against her.
Empress Gifty recently sued Agradaa at the Tema High Court, demanding GHS20 million in damages for what she described as defamatory and insulting comments made by the evangelist. The suit also seeks a court order to stop Agradaa from making further comments and to remove all offending videos from her social media platforms.
But in a fiery response, Nana Agradaa said she is not afraid of the lawsuit and will not be intimidated by any court case. Speaking boldly, she stated, “Any idiot can go to court. I’ve left the farm, I’m now dealing with classy people.” According to her, she has moved on with her life and has no time to engage in public arguments with Empress Gifty or her fans.
Agradaa didn’t stop there. She attacked Empress Gifty’s husband, Hopeson Adorye, accusing him of calling for violence against her. She even threatened to physically confront him if they ever meet. “If I catch Hopeson, I will beat him,” she said angrily. “You, Gifty, can go to court 100 or 200 times—I don’t care.”
The evangelist continued her rant, saying, “Stupid Hopeson Adorye, you sit on radio and say evil things about me. You are even worse than your wife.”
Nana Agradaa also revealed her plans to fight back legally. She announced that she would sue Hopeson Adorye in an international court and demand compensation in dollars—an amount, she claimed, would be more than what Empress Gifty is demanding from her.
“If you sue me for 2 billion, I will sue your husband for triple that. I’ll take him to an international court and demand dollars,” she declared.
