Popular Ghanaian actor and comedian, Akwasi Boadi, widely known as Akrobeto, has been involved in a serious accident on the Accra-Kumasi highway. The unfortunate incident occurred on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Konongo in the Ashanti Region.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened when a large cargo truck crashed into the car Akrobeto was driving. The impact left his vehicle badly damaged, especially in the front part. However, Akrobeto was lucky to survive the crash without any serious injuries.
Sources close to the actor confirmed that although he appeared shaken, he did not suffer any major harm. He is currently safe and doing well. Reports suggest he might have sustained only minor injuries, but he was able to walk around and speak after the incident.
So far, no deaths or serious injuries have been reported. People who were present at the scene helped to calm the situation while waiting for the police to arrive. As of the time of reporting, the police had not yet reached the accident scene to begin official investigations.
Many fans who heard the news have expressed concern and sent their good wishes to the veteran actor. Social media is filled with messages thanking God for saving Akrobeto’s life and wishing him a quick recovery.
Akrobeto is well known in Ghana for his comic roles in local movies and his popular television show, “The Real News,” where he reads international news in a humorous way. His accident has come as a shock to many Ghanaians who admire his work and love his sense of humor.
