According to a report by GhanaWeb on Sunday, 25th May, 2025, the General Overseer of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has dropped some revelations about President John Dramani Mahama.
He praised the President for being a true gentleman and a humble leader who doesn’t hold grudges. According to Archbishop Duncan-Williams, Mahama is not like many other politicians who are quick to retaliate or seek revenge when wronged.
Speaking during a Sunday church service, the Archbishop explained how President Mahama has been mistreated by some people in the past. However, instead of reacting with anger or bitterness, Mahama chose to forgive and move on. The Archbishop said this shows Mahama’s strength of character and true leadership.
He added, “President Mahama is a humble man. He is not proud or bitter. Some people did things to him that could make anyone angry, but he didn’t fight back. He has the proof of what was done to him, yet he behaves as if nothing happened.”
To prove his point, Archbishop Duncan-Williams shared a personal story. He spoke about a man who used to insult President Mahama when he was in opposition. Later, when Mahama met this man face-to-face, the man was scared and tried to avoid him. But instead of being angry, Mahama called him over and gave him a warm hug.
The Archbishop said the man was shocked by Mahama’s kind reaction. He later called Duncan-Williams and asked what the hug meant. The Archbishop told him, “It shows Mahama is a true statesman. He is bigger than you because he chose love over hate.”
Archbishop Duncan-Williams concluded by saying that real leaders forgive and show kindness, even to people who try to bring them down. He encouraged others to learn from Mahama’s example and act with grace and humility.
