Ghanaian journalist, Captain Smart, has shared an image of all Asante Kings in one picture. He shared this photo on his Facebook page on Monday, 26th May, 2025.
This picture tells a story of strength, culture, leadership, and tradition. It is a true reflection of the greatness of the Asante people.

The list of Asante Kings starts with Osei Tutu I, who ruled from 1697 to 1718 and helped form the Asante Empire. The current Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has been on the throne since 1999. Each king played a special role in the growth of the kingdom.

This picture and the history behind it remind us that “Asante wo bi kyere, Asante wo bi ka” — every Asante has something to teach, and something to say. Visit the Manhyia Palace Museum to witness the legacy of the Asante Kingdom for yourself.
