A video has started making waves on the internet showing a man who looks just like the late former President Jerry John Rawlings. The man was seen walking around at the funeral grounds on Tuesday, 13th May, 2025.
The man wore dark sunglasses and dressed in black cloth, which made him look even more like the late Ghanaian leader.
Those who saw him from afar thought it was JJ Rawlings himself. Some of them even stopped what they were doing to take a closer look.
Rawlings, who passed away in November 2020, is still remembered by many Ghanaians for his bold leadership, charisma, and unique style. So when people saw this man, who had almost the same face shape, skin tone, and way of walking, they could not believe their eyes. His black sunglasses and traditional black mourning cloth reminded people of how Rawlings used to dress during solemn occasions.
According to some eyewitnesses, the man did not speak. He simply walked around quietly and respectfully, just like a mourner. Some said they wanted to ask him who he was, but they were too shy or scared.
Others tried to take photos of him, while some funeral guests could not stop looking at him. It is still not known who the man is or if he is related to the late JJ Rawlings.
Many people believe it could just be a coincidence, while others say he might be a family member or someone who admired Rawlings a lot.
