The founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah, surprised his church members and many Ghanaians on Sunday, 25th May 2025, with an unexpected action during church service.
After delivering his usual prophetic message, Prophet Owusu Bempah reacted strongly to some recent comments made by popular Ghanaian actress Afia Schwarzenegger. According to the man of God, Afia Schwarzenegger had insulted him and used offensive words against him. One of the words that got the prophet very upset was the word “gay,” which he claimed the actress used to describe him.
Prophet Owusu Bempah said that while people may criticize or insult him, calling him “gay” crosses the line. He made it clear that he is not ready to accept such a label from anyone, no matter who the person is.
In response to the insult, the prophet shocked everyone by performing a symbolic act in the church. He picked up a bottle of anointing oil, opened it, and smashed it on the ground right in front of the congregation. He said this action represented a serious curse. He declared that any Ghanaian who dares to call him “gay” will face severe punishment from God.
His church members watched in silence as he carried out the act. He explained that the curse was not coming from him alone but from heaven, and those who disrespect him in such a way would face divine consequences.
The prophet also sent a warning to some members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). He said some of them have been insulting him and that their actions are pushing the party deeper into opposition. According to him, the more they attack him, the longer they will remain in opposition.
This unexpected moment from Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah has become a major topic in both religious and political circles in Ghana. Many people are reacting to his statements and the action he took in church.
