Kwame Nsiah-Apau, also known as Okyeame Kwame and the Rap Doctor, has advocated for an independent organization to create a national development plan for the entertainment industry.
Okyeame Kwame stated that if the system is devised by an independent organization, every political party that gains political power should put it into action.
Okyeame Kwame, who featured on Time FM’s Ama Ghana Morning Show, believes that implementing a plan for the entertainment industry can help the country’s economy.
He disclosed that the NDPC created a 40-year national development plan that included culture, tourism, and creative arts but was never implemented owing to a lack of political will.
“We need a plan for the creative arts, tourism, and entertainment industries. If we get goals and stay ffocusedand we start to shoot movies at the tourist sites, it will attract people to visit,” he stressed.

Okyeame Kwame proposed levying a tourism tax on international visitors and flights to Ghana in order to fund the sector’s development.
