A video published on Twitter showed a young man being viciously attacked and beaten in Sowutuom, Accra.
An anonymous group allegedly assaulted the individual, who is said to be a member of the LGBTQ+ community. According to reports, he was enticed by a dating app.
The horrifying video shows the attack taking place in front of the Race Course medical clinic, while others disregard the victim’s cries for help.
Bystanders allegedly declined to intervene, alleging that the victim was gay and had gone to the location specifically for a sexual encounter.
The victim can be heard pleading, “Where are the police? What have I done wrong?”
