Following the North American leg of her “RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR,” Beyoncé is reentering the perfume market. The singer’s surprising release of her new eau de parfum on Wednesday (July 19) sparked a wave of excitement. It is the musician’s first fragrance brand since the publication of Rise in 2014.
The 1.7 fl. oz. bottle will be sold exclusively on her website for $160 and will be available only in the United States and Canada. Meanwhile, shipping will begin in November. Unfortunately, first pre-orders have already sold out for some keen fans. Customers can, however, sign up for replenishment notifications at parfum.beyonce.com.
Bey’s most recent invention promises a delectable smell combination. Top notes of juicy clementine and rich golden honey lay the groundwork for the fragrance’s center, which emits rose absolute and jasmine sambac. Base notes of exotic Namibian myrrh and warm golden amber round out the fragrant symphony.
The perfume, which was created in France and is proudly billed as “encased in art,” is a testimony to Beyoncé’s creative aspirations. Each purchase, like past items from the musician, will come with a “special gift,” which will be available only while supplies last.
Predictably, fan reactions have been mixed. With many still rallying their money for last-minute tickets to the “RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR,” one user tweeted, “Okay, girl wait a minute. I’m trying to figure out if I’m going to another show in another city… Now this??? Just take my coins.”
This isn’t Beyoncé’s first fragrance. So far, the Grammy-winning artist released a total of 14 perfumes, with her Heat collection standing as her most acclaimed. The collection has been a commercial success and included several variations like Shimmering Heat, Midnight Heat, Heat Seduction, Heat Wild Orchid, Heat Kissed, and the Mrs. Carter World Tour Limited Edition Heat.
