Reigning VGMA Artiste of the year Black Sherif has for the first time addressed the leakage of unreleased songs from his music catalog.
During a stunning performance at the University of Ghana, the 21-year-old singer addressed the problem and frankly offered his thoughts on the subject.
Before getting into his point of view, Black Sherif chose to demonstrate his abilities by freestyling one of the leaked songs. This just served to highlight the hubris of those who thought they could undercut his hard work and dedication.
Black Sherif vehemently lambasted the perpetrators of the leak during his performance, expressing his disgust and frustration. Furthermore, he wasn’t afraid to criticize those who seemed envious of his success in the music industry.
“Some songs I recorded three years ago, two and a half years ago, some babylons have got it and are blasting… So if you hear them somewhere, enjoy it. But if you don’t see me tweet, I never released it,” he indicated.

Black Sherif also hinted at releasing more songs, which he believes are even better than what has been illegally leaked onto music distribution platforms.
