Ghanaian celebrity John Dumelo, known for his multifarious career, has disclosed ambitions to diversify his agricultural activities by growing cannabis.
Dumelo, who has already had experience cultivating products such as ginger, tubers, wheat, and poultry husbandry, sees cannabis as a beneficial addition to his portfolio.
His decision follows the passage of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) Bill, 2023, which was adopted by Parliament on July 12 and is now law.
The renowned Ghanaian actor indicated that the passage of the Bill will create employment for the teeming youth and to also bring foreign exchange.
He urged the Ministry of Interior to ensure the license for cultivating cannabis is owned by Ghanaians.
