According to ESPN, Manchester United and Inter have reached an agreement to sign goalkeeper Andre Onana. Before completing a €50 million move to Old Trafford, the Cameroon international will undergo a medical.
United are optimistic. Onana, who will take over as the club’s No. 1 goalkeeper in lieu of David De Gea, will be available to travel with the squad on the club’s preseason tour of the United States, which begins this week in New York.
According to ESPN, once Onana becomes a United player, Dean Henderson will be granted permission to join Nottingham Forest on a permanent basis.
Henderson spent the season on loan at Nottingham Forest, and while he has returned to Carrington for the start of preseason training, he is poised to complete a £20 million move to the City Ground.
Onana, who worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax Amsterdam, will be United’s second summer acquisition following the arrival of Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount. He will fill the vacuum left by David De Gea, who departed United on a free transfer after 12 years with the club.
