At Berekum in the Bono Region, twin brothers allegedly stabbed their 16-year-old pal to death.
On Saturday, July 15, 2023, the two, only named as Farouk and Harus, allegedly attacked Alhassan Sulemana in a pub.
The terrible situation occurred as a result of a misunderstanding between the twins and the victim, according to eyewitnesses.
Mohammed Sofian, one of the eyewitnesses, stated that he went to investigate after hearing loud shouts from the other side of the pub.
When he came closer, he noticed Alhassan and the twins involved in a furious altercation, he said.
Mohammed walked back to his seat after cautioning them against the argument.
He subsequently heard more disturbance and returned to find the twins stabbed Alhasan with a pair of scissors.
He was taken to Berekum Holy Family Hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, the pair fled the area after the incident and are still on the run.
The deceased’s mother, Safia Sulemana, who talked to the media, expressed disbelief at the tragedy because her son and the twins were close friends.
She further stated that the deceased’s brother reported the situation to police for further inquiry.
