Popular television host, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, also known as Captain Smart, has announced that he has officially left Media General’s Onua TV.
Captain Smart is the host of the morning show called Onua Maakye, which airs on Onua TV. He made this big announcement today, Monday, 5th May 2025, which is also his birthday.
Many of his viewers were surprised by the news. According to him, he will be away from the media house for a period of up to two years. This means he will not be seen on the Onua Maakye show for quite some time.
During the announcement, Captain Smart said that another person will take over the show while he is away. However, he did not mention the exact reason for his break or what he plans to do during the two years.
Since the announcement, many people have started talking about why he might be leaving. Some believe that Captain Smart may have received an appointment from the National Democratic Congress (NDC). This comes after he openly showed his support for the NDC during the 2024 general elections and spoke strongly in favor of the party on several occasions.
Although he has not confirmed whether he will be working with the NDC, his break has raised many questions among his fans and political observers. Others believe that he may be taking time off to rest or focus on other personal projects.
